Option Technologies Announces OptionFinder® EZ Interactive Keypad System
September 18, 2002, Chicago, Illinois – Option Technologies announced the release of a new wireless group response keypad system, OptionFinder® EZ, during the annual 2002 CSA Conference sponsored by the Institute for Internal Auditors.
Rob Monson, Marketing Coordinator for Option Technologies, made the announcement of this entirely new, lower-priced hardware package which is approved for use in North and South America. The platform, know as OptionFinder EZ, is a one-way radio frequency keypad system, identical in size and feel to the existing OptionFinder SR 1100K keypad system.
The EZ platform has a maximum capacity of 50 keypads per base station and is not expandable. The base station is lighter and smaller than other base stations sold by the company and includes an internal antenna, making it more convenient and portable.
“EZ is not compatible with other OptionFinder hardware and is intended for small group use,” said Monson. “The primary advantage of this platform is price. OptionFinder EZ is 25% to 40% less expensive than our other radio frequency keypad hardware systems.” Monson further elaborated that this design also requires no FCC license which is attractive to many clients.
Monson indicated the system will be sold in bundles beginning at $3346 for a 10 keypad system with OptionPower software and EZ base station. Additional keypads carry a list price of $150 per handset.
