Option Technologies announced the release of OptionFinder IQ, a new advanced wireless keypad response system for large meetings and classrooms. OptionFinder IQ
TM uses two-way radio frequency technology to transmit and receive responses from meeting participants. It provides users with a smaller, lighter and more powerful radio frequency keypad platform.
Mark Fite, President and CEO of Option Technologies, said the product is the most advanced keypad system available. "OptionFinder IQ
TM has greater capabilities than any keypad we have ever introduced. We are proud to add it as the fifth hardware platform in our product line. It has range of 500 feet and a capacity of 1500 participants on one base station," he said.
Fite indicated that he believes the market will see significant advantages to the additional functionality offered by the system, "Each OptionFinder IQ
TM keypad includes a liquid crystal display (LCD) window that allows the participant to view questions and multiple digit responses. It is the first wireless keypad to offer this sort of visual feedback to participants," Fite related.
He indicated that the system offers a variety of breakthrough features not offered by any other interactive handset. "OptionFinder IQ allows participants to enter multiple digit numeric responses, including decimal points. That means that market researchers can use the system to collect pricing information and instructors can use the system to collect answers to math problems. Clients using the system to rank issues or elect candidates can enter multiple digit numbers to make selections from long lists. There are a variety of important new applications that are now possible with these capabilities," said Fite.
The system works with the company’s flagship OptionPower
® software. The application is an easy-to-use add-in that displays polling results on PowerPoint
® slides. "We’ve enabled some very unique log-in methods that allow participants to key in an ID number and easily identify themselves to the system. This is a real breakthrough for delegate meetings and classrooms," Fite said.
According to Fite, the OptionFinder IQ
TM system also offers significant advantages in weight and size. "At only 5.3 ounces, this keypad is 20% lighter and has only 50% of the volume of our previous radio frequency models. Clients will find the system much easier to carry and less expensive to ship," he said.
Fite indicated that the OptionFinder IQ
TM system will be sold in bundles beginning at $4895 for a 10 keypad kit including OptionPower
® software and IQ base stations. Additional keypads will carry a list price of $245 per handset.
