Option Technologies Announces OptionPowerTM Software Add-In To Make Microsoft PowerPoint® Interactive

TM, a new interactive software application will be debuted during the Training 2003 Conference in Atlanta, GA February 24-26.
“This is a major breakthrough product for our company,” said Mark Fite, President and CEO. “OptionPower is a native add-in that makes PowerPoint™ a fully interactive platform for meetings, decision making and interactive teaching. It allows presenters and teachers to get immediate feedback from participants using wireless handheld keypads,” he said.
Fite indicated that OptionPower™ is the first group response software application to take advantage of a fully relational database model that works with Microsoft SQL desktop and server versions. “The combination of speed, scalability and flexibility of the new OTIDE (OTI Data Engine) contained in this platform is unprecedented,” said Fite. “The company has developed this data engine over the past two years and has applied for patents on the design. It’s a real advance.”
Company representatives demonstrated the key features of the product, namely its intuitive design and ease-of-use. OptionPower will allow clients to create interactive PowerPoint slides in seconds using drop-down menus and tools that take full advantage of what they already know about PowerPoint, Windows and Office.
“OptionPower is built for the future,” said Fite. “The Report Module and the OTI Licensing Engine have been built with Microsoft .Net development tools and standards. “Clients will be able to easily download and activate updates and a steady stream of new modules.” Fite indicated that “OptionPower is the first product in our industry to begin the important migration to XML and .Net based data exchange and manipulation.”
