FAQ: Can the presentation run on any computer? What kind of requirements do we have to meet to run the software/system?
Answer:
All of our OptionPower software and hardware operates on the Windows operating system. We do not offer anything for the Apple Macintosh operating system. There are several reasons for this; primarily, it has to do with the difference in hardware drivers and communicating through the hardware architecture. Therefore, you will need a current version of Microsoft Windows and a copy of Microsoft Office which includes PowerPoint. This is the platform that we have based the OptionPower polling software on.
OptionPower is an add-in to PowerPoint, so if you have Office 2010, 2013, or 2016 you can install OptionPower as an add-in which appears seamlessly on the menu bar in PowerPoint to create interactive polling. All the data from the keypads flows into the system through the base station plugged into your computer; it is tabulated and stored in a database on your Windows based computer. The reports come out in Microsoft Word or Excel. So, you'll want to have a system that has really good memory. If you have any further questions, a member of our team would be more than happy to assist you.
